Empire’s Design + Build program was designed to make the lifestyle you’ve always wanted possible in the home you’ve always dreamed of. For homeowners Kelly and Jim Meek, who customized the Grayson floor plan, this meant crafting a tailored space that included an open-concept kitchen and family room for entertaining, a rec room for their kids to play in and an impressive outdoor area with a fireplace.
A mid-toned wood that runs throughout the home adds warmth to the Meek family home, while a neutral color on the walls and on the upper kitchen cabinets leaves room for creatively decorating. Pops of blue in various rooms of the home — from the dining room to the master ensuite and lower level family room — add a punch of color, while rustic ceiling beams and shiplap and brick accents add visual interest.
